Troop deployment to America and Irish defense debate

In the Irish House of Commons on Nov 23 a message from the Excellency announced orders to send up to 4070 troops to America, to be paid by Great Britain after departure. If Parliament agrees, 4909 foreign Protestants may replace them in Ireland, paid by Britain when available. General Gage and Burgoyne reportedly favor reconciliation with America. A committee was to consider defense methods. Local crimes, weather, and marriages are also noted in the issue.

A notice offering four hundred pounds to any Geotleman or Lady able to secure a church preferment with a yearly income of two hundred pounds. Letters to G.
