Postscript to the Printer on Fishing Laws and Liberty

A London letter defends fishing as a rightful pastime while criticizing strict penalties and new taxes. The writer mocks the law's harsh punishments for destroying fish, argues angling is a virtuous, tranquil pursuit, and laments general warrants and restricted recreations amid broader political discontent. The piece cites Magna Carta and observes evolving government powers, calling the era a mixed blessing of supposed liberty and intrusion.
