The Lompoc Advisory Committee for the County General Plan voted to relax the urban rural limit line to accommodate future growth around Vandenberg Village and Mission Hills. A 14-10 vote expanded the Village boundary toward Vandenberg Air Force Base and added 300 acres near Mission Hills, with plans for a ranchette project on 980 acres. The action preserves future city decisions and potential annexation prospects.

Base Lompoc sewer hookup design begun at Vandenberg

Final design on connecting Vandenberg Air Force Base to Lompoc Valley Regional Wastewater Treatment Plant proceeds. Bid advertising set for March with construction to start in April. La Purisima advisers set to meet state architect

The La Purisima Mission Advisory Committee will meet tomorrow with the state senior landscape architect at the mission for a plan review. Bob Deering of the State Parks and Recreation Department will report on a proposed $80,000 land purchase to buffer the entrance on Lompoc Casmalia Road. The committee, led by Julia Forbes, will tour the site and outline long term development goals for the park.
