Summerland approves low rent for four artists at old county yard
The Board of Supervisors revised a license agreement with four artists renting the renovated Summerland county road yard building for 50 dollars monthly. They voided a prior motion to require signed terms by last May 10. Residents praised the plan as an arts and crafts center while critics questioned giving county property for nominal rent. The artists have cleared debris and performed repairs at no cost, previously occupying the buildings.
