Fire damages patio at Old College Dairy home in Santa Ynez
A daytime fire caused about 2000 dollars in damage to a covered patio at Boyd Bettencourt’s residence 365 Refugio Road in Santa Ynez. No injuries were reported as investigators note the blaze originated unknownly and Bettencourt will inventory losses. A stereo deck, amplifier and eight track cartridges were stolen from a car on 1225 North Orchid. Radio gear valued near 1000 dollars was stolen from Federal Electric Corp. in Santa Maria. An open house for disabled students at Allan Hancock College is set for September 25. The YMCA plans karate classes starting October 2 with a women’s self defense session on October 4.
