Enterprise Orbiter rolled out for first public viewing
The Shuttle Orbiter OV 101 named The Enterprise rolled out at Rockwell Palmdale for public viewing with 1000 space officials present. NASA leaders and lawmakers praised the craft as a future space workhorse as construction continued toward first orbital flights planned for the late 1970s and 1980s.
