Lobby groups seeks private eye for Sacramento bartender
The Peoples' Lobby hires a private detective to locate Gilbert Rosales who bought its name for six dollars. Director Edwin Koupal says Rosales is under surveillance while Rosales, who once worked at an aircraft plant and now bartends near the state Capitol, says he finds the move amusing. The group accuses state agencies of working to discredit the lobby after a tax report lapse led to the name being available for purchase. Rosales previously worked for Los Angeles councilman David Cunningham, whom the lobby seeks to recall.

Corn targets rise to about 1.55 a bushel with 1973 law escalator, while wheat and cotton targets also move up but remain below current market prices.
