Calvary Baptist Church launches a weekly radio program The Message of Calvary on KLOM broadcasting Sundays 8:35 to 9:00 a.m. Pastor Wallis A Turner delivers brief inspirational messages with narration by Robert Wilson and engineering by an unnamed staffer. A youth film festival follows at 7:00 p.m. at 3355 Constellation Road in Valencia Village. Calvary’s softball team plans four Lompoc Church-Industrial League games next week at Thompson Park with two games each on Tuesday and Thursday. Methodist Speaker Frances Cooper to Visit Church Sunday

Miss Frances Cooper, 1967 Lompoc High graduate and UCSB student, will speak at the United Methodist Church Sunday morning. She will discuss nine weeks of vocational internship at the Wesley Social Service Center in South Central Los Angeles, a reconciliation-focused Methodist institution visited earlier this summer by Mrs. Richard Nixon.
