The 45th annual Pioneer Reunion starts tonight at the Lompoc Grange Hall as the sixth combined Pioneer and Lompoc Valley Historical Societies meet. An audio visual tour of Miguelito School and Canyon is planned with eight former Miguelito teachers and two Class of 1921 alumni present.

Missiles Launched From Vandenberg And Whiteman Bases
A Minuteman III was launched at 1:55 this morning from Vandenberg AFB by a SAC crew of the 95th Strategic Missile Wing. A second Minuteman Modernized followed at 4:10 from Whiteman AFB by the 351st Wing crew, both reported on course down the Western Test Range. Police investigate counterfeit $20 bill found at King's Furniture Co. A 12 year old boy sustained minor injuries in a bicycle collision with a car driven by a 30 year old man on Via Orilla. Sandra L. Densmore of Seattle was booked in Lompoc Jail on narcotics charges linked to a stabbing case on South L Street under ongoing investigation.

Lompoc will auction 12 city vehicles including a three wheel motorcycle as part of a county sale with over 360 items. The auction begins at 10 30 a m Saturday at the County Road Yard 4415 Cathedral Oaks Road Santa Barbara. Display times are Friday 8 a m to 3 p m and Saturday after 8 a m. Auction handled by Ken Porter Auction Company. City Purchaser David Weil says newer models replaced the vehicles and sale yields better returns than trade in.
