Coast Guard Seaman Apprentice Latham reports for duty at Petaluma station
Petaluma California Coast Guard Seaman Apprentice Larry OD Latham, son of D. C. Latham of Lompoc, reported for duty at the local Coast Guard station. A 1973 Lompoc High graduate, he entered the Coast Guard in July 1973. Cadet Robert D. McClure, West Point cadet, completed summer training August 25 at Camp Buckner for sophomores. William C. Hobart Jr., cadet at the U S Air Force Academy, enters his second year after a three week survival course this summer.
