Isla Vista cityhood hearings set by LAFCO for December 4

The Local Agency Formation Commission schedules public hearings on Isla Vista cityhood for December 4 in the Board of Supervisors hearing room. Opponents from the Isla Vista Community Council argue the date clashes with UC Santa Barbara finals week. A January meeting is suggested, and hearings will not be held in Isla Vista. The plan includes concurrent Solvang incorporation discussions and rejects a policy to publicly report all private discussions.
