City Council awards fire station construction contract

The City Council approved a 423750 dollar contract to Don Green Contractor Inc for a new Central Fire Station to serve the city for 100 years. Funding includes 370000 from Community Development Block Grant funds and 53750 from the general fund, with a yearlong build beginning soon and renovations on the 115 South G Street site.
