Lompoc FFA Junior Rodeo Plans Third Annual Event

The Lompoc Chapter FFA sponsors a junior rodeo with events in bull riding steer riding calf riding team roping barrel racing and goat tying. Trophy buckles awarded for first place ribbons second to fifth and all around honors. Morning events start at 8 a.m. with grand entry at 1 p.m. Also a Cabrillo junior class car wash on Oct 27 at 76 Union station.

Senior Stephen Biggs Wins Student Government Post

Stephen Biggs, a Cabrillo high senior, serves as student body vice president and vice president of the California Associated Student Councils region of 35 schools. He aims to improve liaison between Lompoc and Cabrillo and to revive an inter club council. He plans college at Hancock then Cal Poly with a PE major and History minor.

Leesa Taylor Leads Cabrillo Cheer Squad and Activities

Leesa Taylor, Cabrillo High senior and captain of the cheerleaders, reflects on four years of involvement from mat maid to varsity captain. She toured cheer camps, earned trophies, and hopes for a football stadium while planning printing or special education after graduation. She has lived in Lompoc 12 years with parents Mr and Mrs Robert M Taylor.
