The County Planning Commission approved a development plan for 47 townhouses on 11.1 acres along the east boundary of Vandenberg Village Golf and Country Club in Vandenberg Village. A two year old Santa Maria boy Armando Barragon was critically burned in a house fire that caused about 6500 dollars in damage. he was taken to San Luis Obispo Hospital. Cause under investigation. Drivers Ed Adopts Simulator Based Training At Two High Schools
The program adds 12 hours of street driving and 12 hours in a lifelike simulator per student. The simulator projects street scenes with a synchronized soundtrack, controlled by an instructor.
