U S soldier kills three on Goettingen bound train
U S Army sergeant Thomas De Gregorio 26 from Hialeah Florida seized control of the Copenhagen Rome express near Goettingen Germany. He shot two military guards and a waitress aboard the Alpine Express then fled into the countryside with two pistols.Authorities mobilized police helicopters and search patrols while West German troops assisted. De Gregorio had been AWOL since Tuesday and had been briefly detained in Denmark before being brought back toward Bamberg prior to the incident.
