Sirica warns Watergate jury pool on truth and jail

Senate votes to cut Turkey aid amid veto threat

The Senate approved a rider to the foreign aid bill by 48 to 34 to halt military assistance to Turkey for its Cyprus invasion. Ford and Kissinger oppose the measure and the bill, which contains 724.6 million dollars less than requested.

President Ford to testify on Nixon pardon October 10

President Ford will appear before a House subcommittee at 10 a m Thursday October 10 to discuss his Nixon pardon. The hearing, in the Rayburn Building Judiciary Committee room, may be televised. Chairman Hungate notes it would be only the second sitting president to testify before a congressional committee, the first being Abraham Lincoln in 1862.
