Girl burns hand fighting grass fire near home

A 15 year-old Mission Hills girl Toni Operania suffered second degree burns on one hand when she tripped and fell while fighting a grass fire across from her home at 3466 Rucker Rd. She connected two garden hoses to reach the blaze and had it contained before county firefighters arrived. The cause remains undetermined.
