A Santa Ynez Valley landmark is the Old Grist Mill at Mission Santa Ines, now part of the Rasmussen ranch near Solvang. The feature recounts Chapman's varied roles from pirate to craftsman, his marriage in 1832, and his death in Santa Barbara in 1849 with burial at Old Mission Santa Barbara.
