Settlement eyed in firemen dispute before supervisors action
The AFL-CIO Firefighters Union and the county administration may settle their contract stalemate before a possible unilateral action by the Board of Supervisors on November 29. A Friday meeting with union negotiators is planned in the County Administration Building. The hours clause remains a core issue as other county employee groups have received a 3 percent pay raise.
