Huge land sale set for Goleta Valley on Nov 25
A 300 acre Goleta Valley oceanfront land parcel owned by multi millionaire developer Said Halimi is to go on sale November 25 in Santa Barbara with bidding starting at 2.7 million dollars. The project was halted in January 1972 after ex entertainer Phil Regan was arrested for attempted bribery. Foreclosure actions, bankruptcy and a Tyrolian Village LLC bankruptcy are linked to the sale and a 2.5 million dollar loan default to Columbia University.
