Two Airmen Die In Fiery Highway 1 Crash

Two airmen identified as David Paul Kroll and James Stephen Revak, both 21, died when their car left Highway 1 near a canyon and burst into flames. Cass Bennett, 19, survived with multiple injuries. Revak was the driver incinerated in the wreck. Civilian Bennett was listed in stable condition at Lompoc Hospital.

County approves lease for park in Lompoc

The Santa Barbara County Board of Supervisors unanimously authorized a 50 year lease of a 4.5 acre parcel in Lompoc for park use. The site between Lompoc High School and the shopping center may host a privately developed racquetball facility with rent paid to the city.
