United Methodist Women of First United Methodist Church plan a 9:30 a.m. meeting in the Fireside Room with Alice Jackson presiding. Election of officers and bazaar review follow. Louise Bowen prepared a racism program as Sarah Circle hosts coffee hour. Open House at La Purisima Catholic School invites parents to 7:30 p.m. program with Dr. James Bowen of Cal Poly while classrooms stay open to 9:30 p.m. A mini bazaar and Fun Night with Sweet Adelines at St. Andrew Methodist Church runs 6:30 to 10 p.m. with a guest men's quartet and choir rehearsal.

Country and Western Days fiesta at Queen of Angels Church

Queen of Angels parish in Mission Hills hosts its annual Country and Western Days fiesta this weekend at the church with Saturday hours noon to 7 30 p m and Sunday noon to 4 p m. Highlights include a top sirloin steak barbecue all day Sunday, gift shop bake sale pony rides and a new Long Branch Tea Room open Saturday. Haiti Art Sale at Santa Barbara Museum of Art

More than 50 Haitian paintings and primitive sculptures from Haiti are on sale at the Santa Barbara Museum of Art from November 10 to December 9.
