The ILP model session on Interracial Communication Barriers runs 9 30 a m to noon tomorrow at La Canada School Room 2. Workers remain at Johns-Manville plant amid stalled contract talks

Workers at Johns-Manville Products Co. continued on the job without a contract after the expiration on Oct. 24. Production was satisfactory and both sides expressed willingness to resume bargaining. Union president Tom McCall and J-M official Paul Burnum indicated possible mediation involvement, though no meeting was set.

Service personnel updates from Formosa to Okinawa

Sgt Clifford B Peterson 24 husband of Lompoc Officer Linda Peterson serves with the 6217th Security Police Squadron in Ching Ghang Kong Formosa. He joined the Air Force in May 1972 and has been with the 4392nd Security Police since August 1972. Marine Cpl Richard L Polton son of Mr and Mrs F E Polton and husband of Rae L Grahan of Lompoc has left Okinawa with the 1st Battalion Landing Team 9th Marine Regiment 3d Marine Division for a six month deployment with the Seventh Fleet Amphibious Ready Group in the Western Pacific. He will train at Camp Fuji Japan and in the Philippines. He joined the Marine Corps in March 1974.
