Birth control pills linked to higher breast cancer risk
A large UC California study finds women who used birth control pills to delay first birth into their late 20s or 30s may bear increased breast cancer risk, especially with two to four years of use or prior benign breast disease. Researchers urge further study while noting no direct causation. The study analyzed 1300 women in the San Francisco area from 1960 to 1972.
