Salmon season gains pace at Port San Luis amid varied catches
With under two weeks to go in the salmon season, anglers report steady but not hot fishing. Harbor Associates at Port San Luis launched 25 boats and landed 35 salmon in the week, while reports note good bottom fishing and ongoing albacore activity offshore. Freshwater notes show a pickup in trout in central and coastal California as weather shifts, with steelhead and bass fishing highlighted around Nacimiento Lake and nearby streams.
