The Lake Cachuma Recreational Center will host an open house steak fry on May 28 with Santa Barbara County Board of Supervisors and Park Commission members in attendance. City OKs Ocean Avenue widening on Route 1
The California Highway Commission approved widening a half mile of Route 1 in Lompoc from Seventh to O Street. Acting on Chairman Vernon Cristina's recommendation, the panel allocated 70 000 dollars to expand the 24 foot road to 64 feet with curbs and gut ters, the city to cover about 8 900 dollars of the extra cost.
