Missionaries Hittenberger to Speak at First Assembly

The Rev. and Mrs. Ronald Hittenberger, Haiti missionaries, will headline First Assembly of God Church Sunday at 11 a.m. with slides and Haiti artifacts. They served in Petionville and led in church work as director, vice superintendent, and superintendent. St. Mary’s hosts Holy Communion at 8 and 10 a.m. and GFS dinner at 6:30 p.m. Sunday. Rev. Hubbard invites the public to attend.

Calvary Baptist Church hosts a senior steak fry for high school graduates and participating youths next Saturday May 29 with graduates as guests and others sharing the cost. Cry of A Martyr Sermon At First Presbyterian Church

The sermon topic Cry of A Martyr is announced for tomorrow’s 9 30 a m worship service at First Presbyterian Church 1600 Berkeley Drive led by Rev Kenneth R Boyd with Church School at 9 30 and classes to follow. Peace Lutheran Confirmation Slated for May 23

Confirmation will be held at Peace Lutheran Church on Ascension Sunday May 23 with eighth and ninth graders affirming baptismal vows. Names include Linda Devaut Terri Ince Beverly Passmore Gary Davis Faron Eslinger Bruce Filarsky Michael Janes Joe Martin Hugo Miller Michael Mosby David Pyle Louis Rockham Kenneth Simonson Troy Sutton and Calvin Welsh. The service features youth participation music led by the Harvey Sisters Wendy Romain Emily George and Rev. David Chamberlain preaching on The Message of Christ to a Generation of Swingers and The Holy Spirit and a Local Church. White robes will be worn by the newly confirmed and a reception will follow the 10:30 a.m. service with gifts for the group. Recognition Sunday and awards for Church School conclude the day, marking the final week of Church School until fall.
