Queen candidates invited to CC Women's luncheon
Flower Festival queen candidates will be guests of the Chamber of Commerce Women's Division at the May luncheon in Valley Club. Rosanne Klein and Flo Donaghue lead the sponsor and introduction efforts, with plans for recognizing each participant's goals. The division supports a jeweled perpetual crown, a lighter crown for general use, a silver crown pin, a silver prize gift, and a cash snack donation for the queen’s ball. A novelty booth at Ryan Park funds the festival, and a display of the jeweled crown is planned. Local clubs Arroyo Grande and Goleta were praised for growth, and an illustrated Farm House talk is planned with David Tholkes and Dr Loretta Grossi as guests. The 55th annual flower show is set for June 25-26 at Veterans Memorial Hall, with a printed schedule circulated. Women of the Moose sponsor a family night at the Moose Lodge with a $2 donation.
