The Childbirth Education League presents two Lamaze Prepared Childbirth films this week on May 8 and 10. May 8 shows at Allan Hancock College room 408 at 7 30 p m with Dr James D Cusack as guest speaker. May 10 screen at Cal Poly Ag Engineering Auditorium at 7 30 p m with Dr John T Mahnke. Public invited, donations 50 cents.

Lompoc Alpha Club Earns Multiple Honors at District Convention
Lompoc Alpha Club won three first place awards, four second place, a third and an honorable mention at the Tierra Adorado District California Federation of Women’s Clubs convention in Oxnard. Mrs. Walter Holmdahl was installed district vice president for two years, with ceremony led by Mrs. John Barbour. Other attendees and awardees included Mrs. Clarence Delph, Mrs. Eldon Lemnes, Mrs. Orville Erdmann, Mrs. Guy Smart, Mrs. Walter Cooperider, Mrs. Max Van Ausdal, Mrs. Howard Simmons, and Mrs. Tom Parks. Delegates to the state convention in Los Angeles May 6–9 are Mines Golmdah and Barnes Jr. Alpha Club members also took a second place at Thousand Oaks and two second place honors for Lompoc Juniors in Americanism and conservation, with the state convention set for May 17–19 in Los Angeles.

United Presbyterian Women staged the annual mother-daughter banquet themed A Remembrance of Things Past.
