Colson rejects plea offer in Watergate case

Special Watergate Prosecutor Leon Jaworski offered Colson a misdemeanor plea in January but Colson insisted on innocence and refused. Colson, once White House liaison for special interests, was indicted March 1 on two conspiracy and obstruction counts and March 7 on a conspiracy against civil rights in the Elisberg break in. He faces up to 15 years in prison and a $15,000 fine if convicted.

IRA threatens new strikes after Crossmaglen attack
