Weekend fishing tour reports and season updates
Heavy swells and fog reduced weekend fishing activity though some party boats out of Avila and Port San Luis reported good catches earlier. The Harbor Associates facility logged 19 boats and 41 salmon over three days. The DFG announced a one month delay to the commercial silver salmon season while keeping king salmon as scheduled. AB 385 changes set opener dates and silver size limits. Freshwater reports note trout openings, lake plantings, bass and crappie activity, and ongoing angler pressures and rule questions across SLO County and surrounding regions.
