Three Lompoc Valley high school graduates named to Allan Hancock College Special Honors List for fall 1969 superior academics. Bum from Cabrillo, Ramming from Lompec, Tugman from Lompec each posted 4.0 GPAs with 16.5 to 17 course units. Additional 4.0 achievers and Dean's List honorees are named by Cabrillo and Lompoc High Schools.

Dullea Installed Santa Barbara Red Cross Chairman
Robert Dullea of Santa Barbara was installed as the new chairman of the Santa Barbara County Chapter American Red Cross at a Santa Maria Club dinner. He succeeds Gordon Gill of Santa Maria who led the merged Lompoc Santa Barbara Santa Maria and Santa Ynez chapters for two years. Warren Looker paid tribute with a revised Longfellow poem. Elected officers for the Lompoc District Board of Administrators are Mrs. John Michael as chairwoman Norman Silsbee as vice chairman and Mrs. Walter Davis as secretary. New Lompoc district board members include Colonel and Mrs. Roy J. Coggins Harry A. Joy Mrs. Thomas Green Mrs. E Christensen Mr. and Mrs. Charles Letson and Mr. and Mrs. Helmer Harrison. Lompoc will be represented on the county chapter executive board by Mrs. John Michael in charge of public relations.

First two missile competition winners
Missile maintenance teams from McConnell AFB Kansas and Little Rock AFB Arkansas won the early trophies in the sixth SAC Missile Combat Competition. McConnell repeated last year as Best Titan Re entry Team. Little Rock led in vertical alignment with 432 of 450 points.
