Striking air traffic controllers continued the sick-out despite FAA threats of dismissal. Snow and poor visibility intensified eastern delays, with Logan Airport reporting 3 to 6 inches of snow. Absentee rates hovered around 25 percent at 21 regional centers, while some centers showed slight improvements. A federal judge issued a temporary restraining order against PATCO’s southwest region to end the stoppage.

New Wage Offer Reaches Postal Union Talks
