Marijuana a tool for hippie conversion
Canadian psychiatrist Dr. Andrew I. Malcolm told the 47th meeting of the American Orthopsychiatric Association that marijuana acts as a chemical tool to convert youth to the hippie lifestyle. He compared the method to centuries old techniques used by religious authorities to win minds and souls and warned that psychoactive drugs create an altered consciousness that seduces youths into the subculture.
