Lompoc High beat San Luis High 782 to 392 as Charlie Jackson swept three firsts and anchored the mile relay. Jackson ran 14.8 in the high hurdles and 10.0 in the 100, plus a 21 3 inch long jump. Cabrillo swimmers beat Santa Maria 69-24 as Gary Anderson led with a CIF 50 yard freestyle 23.2 and school record 50.3 on the relay. Banks, Haden, McKay Jr. sign to USC. First Lompoc Girls Relays Held Tomorrow

The inaugural Santa Barbara County Girls Track League meet is set for tomorrow at Huyck Stadium with Cabrillo, Lompoc, Santa Ynez, San Marcos, Righetti, and Santa Maria High Schools. Field events begin at 9 a.m. and relays at 10 a.m. Cabrillo seeks two league bests. Lompoc relies on depth with 42 athletes.

Village Country Club Ladies Golf Draw Day results

The Village Country Club Ladies Golf Association held Draw Day and a best ball of foursome tournament last Tuesday. First place went to Joyce Campbell, Shirley Johnson, Harriet Adam, and Billie Carlson, with Marguerite Bledsoe, Wilma Lilly, Jean Fuller, and Betty Fisher in second, and Mary Schlecht, Genie DuFrene, and Alma Clark in third.
