Finley loses bid over Kuhn sale authority in court ruling
UPI reports Federal Judge Frank McGarr ruled against Oakland owner Charles O. Finley in his 3.5 million suit seeking reversal of Baseball Commissioner Bowie Kuhn s authority to cancel last year s pitcher and outfielder sales. The decision confirms Kuhn voided the Blue Fingers Rudi deals and backs the commissions dispute. Finley plans appeal and said the ruling could affect his baseball future.
