Girls dedicate skit to Mrs Westrope at Rainbow event
Lompoc Rainbow Girls performed a flapper era skit honoring Mrs Barbara Westrope on her visit as grand deputy of the International Order of Rainbow for Girls. Ruth Gaddis received the initiation degree, and several members earned Grand Cross of Color designations. An enchilada fundraiser is planned for March 15 from 2 to 5 p.m.

Bethany Luth eran Ladies Guild heard a three phase panel from the Lompoc Mental Health Association. Moderator Rev. W B Petzoldt led the discussion with Mrs. Donald Robinette Mrs. John Moore and Mrs. Charles McElmurry as panelists explaining Community Friends Gateway and Drop-in Center programs. Volunteering nursing and church affiliated help are repeatedly urged. Meetings for Gateway House and the Drop-in Center are scheduled with ongoing volunteer needs and social activities. The guild project for needy children continues with a nylons drive and a March 12 meeting at Mrs. George Cotsenmoyer’s home.
