Hollywood man charged with felony and scam scheme
A Hollywood man, Eugene Craig, 36, is charged with conspiracy to cheat and defraud after promising Santa Barbara women roles in a non existent ecology movie. Four local women paid up to 400 dollars for photos and tests and were told of modeling jobs. The scheme allegedly targeted about 200 women, and the film never materialized. Craig was arrested last week and held for a Friday preliminary hearing.

Water exchange extension eyed for Cachuma area plan
The Bureau of Reclamation backs extending an agreement in which Santa Ynez River Water Conservation District swaps Cachuma entitlement for groundwater within the district so equal water can serve the Cachuma county recreational area.
