Lompoc Marlins Swim Club plans publicity drive
After a 12 year effort, the Lompoc Marlins under the Recreation Department invite youngsters to the Municipal Pool for tryouts and a March 2024 visit. Coaches Captain Danko and Sgt Nettie of the USAF lead the program, part of the northern Tri County Swim Association with meets across Paso Robles and Santa Barbara.

Visitors from across the state will attend Morro Bay’s annual Oyster Festival March 10 and 11 hosted by the Chamber of Commerce. Free oyster stew is offered Saturday noon to 3 p.m. at the Veterans Hall. A lighted boat parade is set for Friday night at 8 30 with trophies for top entries.
