Second F111A crash reported in desert near Nellis
The F111A fighter bomber crashed in a dry lake 85 miles north of Nellis AFB Nevada. Two pilots ejected safely. It was the second crash in under three weeks and the 13th since the program began in January 1967. An F111A vanished Feb 12 during a night training run over Nevada and Utah, with a massive search involving up to 50 planes failing to locate the six million dollar aircraft.
