Lompoc Considers Ambulance Fee Changes At Council Meeting
City council will review an ordinance to remove annual in city ambulance fees and require a certificate of public convenience and necessity. It would let the council set max ambulance rates by resolution and compare local rates with Ventura County and Santa Maria.

Nudity ordinance draft seen to ease county ban in parts
District Attorney Stanley Roden says he is part of a draft for a revised nudity ordinance. The plan would allow nudity north of UC Santa Barbara beaches while keeping bans south toward Carpinteria. The measure, backed by Supervisor Kallman Sheriff Carpenter and Attorney Cutting, may go to the Board of Supervisors soon as an alternative to court cases. Warm days bring nude bathing complaints to Summerland beaches where nudity remains prohibited.
