St Marys Church Plans Summer School And Holy Communion

St Marys Episcopal Church starts a summer church school this Sunday at 10 a.m. in the parish hall with singing stories and worship. Regular services are at 8 and 10 a.m. Prayer Book Holy Communion decorations include a Spanish language service at 11:30 a.m. conducted by Rev Philip Schuyler from Los Angeles. A barbeque follows the service in the church patio. Midweek Holy Communion is at 7 30 p.m. Tuesday and 9 a.m. Thursday. Theron Sefton will be ordained a deacon at Grace Church Wheatland.

Spirit Power Lesson Topic at Christian Science Service

The sermon topic for Sunday is Is the Universe Including Man Evolved by Atomic Force. A reading from Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures emphasizes God Spirit dwelling in infinite light and harmony. Jeremiah 32:17 is cited as the golden text. Anniversary service at El Montecito Church in Santa Barbara

Couples travel from Southern California for the annual Wedding Anniversary Sunday at El Montecito Presbyterian Church in Santa Barbara. The June 27 service marks over 30 years of the pastorate of Rev. Paul M. Gammons with a theme Making Marriage Secure. Evangelists as guests at Valley Chapel service

The Rev. Lloyd Dickerson of Trans World Mission will speak at the 11 am worship. He and his wife have spent 15 years in Latin America as evangelists and Bible school lecturers in Honduras, Bolivia, Colombia, and Brazil. Dickerson, a pilot and musician, will play trumpet and testify at the evening service where Rev. David Chamberlain will preach. Slides will follow the service highlighting their work.

Southern Baptists to honor fathers with services and music

The First Southern Baptist Church on Pine Ave and N Third St will honor fathers at the 11 a.m. service with a sermon by Dr. W. B. Timberlake titled Are Father's Necessary. The choir under Danny Martinez will perform But Still He Loved Me, and the men’s chorus will sing Faith Of Our Fathers with instrumental support. Sunday evening features After the Exodus and an all church fellowship with a talent show and refreshments.

Presbyterian Church hymn festival to open worship

The First Presbyterian Church will host a 9 30 a m service featuring a festival of hymns. Rev Kenneth R Boyd will deliver a message titled A Midnight Songfest. Children from first grade up will join the sanctuary service this week. Next Saturday the Presbytery of Santa Barbara meets at St Andrew s Presbyterian with elder representatives.

Peace Lutheran Church hosts a 10 30 a m Fathers Day service this Sunday honoring fathers with a sermon titled Pearls of Wisdom by Pastor David Miller. Methodists Hold Recognition Service At Church Tomorrow

A recognition service for all church ushers will be held during the regular 9 30 a m worship at First United Methodist Church tomorrow. Monday evening the Council on Ministries meets at 7 30.
