Sherrod resigns as City Planning Director to join Fountain Valley

City Planning Director Clinton Sherrod resigns effective July 11 to take a similar post in Fountain Valley Orange County. He joined December 1 1963 and led zoning ordinance completion and redevelopment agency efforts while in office. Rhodes to remain on campus unrest commission

The White House rejected Vice President Agnew's demand that Joseph Rhodes Jr. resign from the presidential commission on campus unrest. Agnew called for Rhodes, 22, to quit after a New York Times report quoted him questioning who ordered police on Kent State and Jackson State campuses.
