County supervisors unanimously vote to close the acute patient unit at Santa Maria Hospital effective Sept 1, cutting 262,057 in tax funds from the 1976 77 budget. Marian Hospital will accept county patients and private Santa Maria Hospital contracts urged to guarantee service levels.

The Board of Supervisors approved a three year contract with Robert B Campbell Taylor for petroleum engineer consultation at 22500 per year starting July 1.
