Satellite stations monitor Everglades in space linked project
Twenty 4 by 8 foot platforms in Florida's Everglades feed data from Landsat to NASA and USGS. Automated sensors record rainfall, water levels, salinity and temperatures, sending twice daily to a Miami office for processing. Data help Park Service fire risk, wildlife food supply, and flood control planning.
