McDonnell-Douglas Offers to Reimburse Airlines Losses
Sen. William Proxmire said McDonnell-Douglas would reimburse about 200 million dollars to Trans World Eastern and Delta if Congress allows Lockheed to go bankrupt. The company would refund deposits if airlines switch from Lockheed's Airbus to McDonnell-Douglas DC-10.
State budget balance plan revised to 974 million
Senate Finance Committee chairman Randolph Collier trimmed the tax revision to balance the 1971-72 state budget by 974 million. The panel scrapped a one cent sales tax hike and a 500 million school fund provision, keeping withholding for income taxes and raising banks, corporations, and insurance tax rates.

Two Valley High Schools Prepare for 700 Graduates Sunday

Riles seeks majority rule for California school bonds
