South Vietnamese forces recaptured Dap Da with a pickup tanks unit and U S air support tearing down the Viet Cong flag. An Loc fell to paratroopers for the first time since siege began. U S air raids expanded to Haiphong Hanoi area with B52 strikes destroying bridges, roads, airfields and storage sites. Marine and ground actions near Hue and Quang Tri produced heavy Vietnamese and enemy casualties while Phnom Penh reported 42 dead and 64 wounded from rockets.

800 Seniors to Receive High School Diplomas in Valley
About 800 seniors were awarded diplomas today at Cabrillo High School and Lompoc High School as hundreds of parents and friends attended commencements. At Cabrillo, Archie Nagle handed out diplomas with remarks from Supt Glen Wegner and other leaders. musical portions directed by Glen Newcomb. At Lompoc, Arthur Timmer welcomed attendees. Gary Mosby led seniors in the procession with three valedictorians and a musical program under Jerry Weakley and Larry Delinger.
