Bridge results in Lompoc area weekly tournaments

In the past week in Lompoc Vandenberg area duplicate bridge play produced winners for May 27 and May 29 events. North-South top finishers included John and Marian Fagan first and Mary Louise Wallace second with multiple teams contending. East-West winners featured Frank and Ethel Dawson first and Barbara Jaeneke with Lyle Holloway second. The trophy series saw Mary Louise Wallace as winner. Alex Turner was second with Jenna Longtin third. May 31 results list Barbara Jaeneke and Bill Rudman first with further pairs securing other places.

Summer sewing classes offered at Allan Hancock College

The continuing education division announces 1971 summer sewing courses with instructor Mrs. Betty Olocco. Students learn stretch fabrics and make pants sweaters suit jackets and bathing suits. Classes run June 15 on Tuesdays 9 to 12 and 1 to 4 with pre registration from 8 to 4 30 daily and 6 to 9 evenings Monday through Thursday. Tuition is 3 dollars, and class size is limited to 25 on a first come basis.
