Angela Davis Freed After Acquittal in Marin County Case

Budget deficit to shrink by 13 billion this year
The White House budget office said the 1972 deficit would be about 13 billion lower than January estimates as receipts rise and spending falls. For 1973 the deficit would be about 1.5 billion higher than prior forecasts, with tax overwithholding and corporate taxes cited.

Hijack suspect surrenders in Honduras
Frederick W Hahneman, 49, accused of hijacking an Eastern Air Lines jet on May 5 and parachuting into Honduras with $303,000, surrendered at the U S Embassy in Tegucigalpa and was flown to Miami with FBI agents. He is charged with air piracy and kidnapping and held without bond in Dade County jail. Eastern will pay a $25,000 reward to a tipster who aided the manhunt.
