California rubella cases double year to date

In Berkeley and across California rubella infections have doubled this year to more than 5,000 since January. State Health Director Dr. Louis F. Saylor warns that under 12 immunization lags and urges physicians and parents to act as Los Angeles reports 1,513 cases this year, with unvaccinated children estimated at 650,000 to 700,000.
